APD (Asia Publishers Distribution) Singapore was founded in 1990. APD Singapore is an established publisher representative and independent book distributor in SE Asia with offices in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Corporately it has shareholder links to Asia Publisher Services in Hong Kong and therefore can offer unrivalled access to the entire book market in the East Asia region for local and international publishers.
Strengths
APD sells across most major publishing sectors including schools, academic and STM within a distinct academic division and a general trade division responsible for major nonfiction adult and children's trade.
APD is unique in that it offers a combination of third party representation together with stockholding and distribution service for client publishers. It is particularly proud of its 6 years old joint venture with Thames and Hudson, the leading art and illustrated publisher for whom it has set up and run a regional company servicing SE Asia.
APD represents publishers including BBC Worldwide, Rockport-Rotovision, Octopus Publishing Group, Parragon, Anness Publishing Group and Allen & Unwin. APD has also actively developed its local Singapore credentials and is a major distributor of Singapore based publishers including Singapore University Press, Asian Civilisations Museum, Who's Who Publishing and Editions Didier Millet.
