Rajeswaren was raised in kampong and pursued Tamil as an interest. He has been teaching English and Tamil for the past 3 decades. He is often sought after to translate non-fiction works and pedagogical article of interest.


Cecilia graduated from UniSIM with a BA in Translation and Interpretation. The course taught translation in various fields, such as business, legal, media, fiction, science and technology. She has done some translation works on course contents, speech and Christian-related newsletters. She is interested to wider her scope and learn more languages.


Librarian by profession but would like to try translation work especially from Malay to English.

I am the CEO of Bookworm Translations and have spent the last 10 years translating various marketing and literary texts such as: books, brochures, websites, blogs, newsletters, art descriptions and loan agreements.  My agency also has over 1,000 freelance translators who speak over 50 languages. I have a Masters in Translation & Interpreting and a Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguists.


Graduated from SIM University in 2010 with BA in Translation & Interpretation. In the same year, I became involved with literary translations for A|S|I|A, an intercultural archive co-ordinated by the National University of Singapore, which I enjoyed tremendously. Before that I was a volunteer docent and docent co-ordinator with the Friends of the Museum.


Mohamad Isa worked as a broadcast journalist for the Malay News & Current Affairs Dept at Mediacorp (1999-2007). He is currently working as a simultaneous interpreter since 2007.

Joanne has honed her craft in the civil service, drafting and proofreading briefs, speeches, press releases and reports for ministers and senior government officials. She is also experienced in freelance content writing, as well as translating from Mandarin and intermediate-Japanese to English.

Prema oversees editorial, literary, creative and translation aspects of all Crimson Earth imprints. She has penned three books, translated eight, and edited over 30 titles. Prema was the recipient of the Creative Arts Grants in 2014.


Shaiful has seven years of experience communicating messages for the public sector. He has crafted and vetted translations (English-Malay) for print, broadcast, and online media, inlcuding assets like campaign copy and video subtitles. He hopes to gain experience in translation work generally and to hone the accuracy of his translations.

Original Studio is a young multidisciplinary creative studio that specialises in film and print. We believe in the power of ideas – a good idea is the basic unit of a good final product. We also run Encounters 《邂逅》, an independent bilingual magazine that is sold locally and in independent bookstores in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

The terminology of science, technology, medical, pharmaceutical, humanities normally available only in English had been conversant to me to express them in Tamil for the past 33 Years in my Tamil Nadu Government Service. This has prompted me to enter into the interested freelance translator / writer field.  I'm confident that I can render a perfect and simple translation from English to Tamil and vice versa.
