SBC Little Campus is the Singapore Book Council’s preschool outreach programme that brings Singapore literature to preschool students and schools. Our sessions allow young students to experience SingLit first-hand with interactive, customisable workshops focusing on storytelling, social-emotional competencies, literacy skills and more. These workshops are conducted in Chinese, English, Malay and Tamil. SBC Little Campus engages a pool of seasoned SingLit facilitators to ensure that students get the most out of their workshops at SBC Campus. Our workshops are great for programmes throughout the year or as enrichment activities.

Stories Under the Moon
Synopsis:
Join author, educator and reading specialist Alyssa Christudason for an interactive storytelling session. In her books, Alyssa infuses fantasy into stories as she takes children on a whimsical journey around Singapore and a meaningful adventure on self-discovery.
This session also includes sensory play and craft activities inspired by her stories to engage our little ones.

1. Under A Crescent Moon And Five Stars brings readers on a fantastical experience as they wander through local heritage centres and the familiar sights, scenes, colours and smells which make us so Uniquely Singapore!
2. Fold Me To The Moon is a Rudolf Steiner-inspired story. It explores the start of a tiny toadstool's journey of self-discovery.

Little Sing Lit World: Stories for Young Readers
Synopsis:
This programme introduces Singapore literature (Sing Lit) to preschoolers and aims to cultivate the love of reading through play. Meet local authors and illustrators and hear them share more about their stories of Singapore. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about Singapore and its people through Sing Lit.

I Pinky Promise You, Okay? - Storytelling with Puppets
Synopsis:
What is the significance of pinky promises? In this interactive storytelling session, arts educator Liew Jia Yi will read The Womps: Pinto's Pinky Promises written by Samantha Han. Meet the Womps (Pinto, So-ya, Kofi and Chick Bee) – a fun and furry bunch of characters who do not always get things right the first time – in the form of puppets! Find out whether Pinto Womp would be able to follow through on all of his verbal promises to his friends. This session aims to explore the meanings of commitment and personal responsibilities together with children.

Liew Jia Yi
Jia Yi is an arts educator and performer based in Singapore. In her exploration of Theatre for Young Audience, Jia Yi co-created and performed in “Babies Book Club”, an online interactive play space for babies. She has also performed in plays that involved object puppetry, rod puppetry, life-sized puppets, and mask work.

Synopsis:
The session celebrates children's powerful imagination, which comes into full play in a playground. This presentation helps pupils to focus on the elements of a familiar and loved place-a playground-and to express what they enjoy about it.
