Azhagunila is an avid Singapore-based writer, public speaker and trainer. Her published works include an anthology of Tamil short stories, Oranju (2015) and an anthology of Singapore heritage based articles, Sirukattu Chunai (2018). She has also written two picture books for young readers: Kondamma Kendama (2016) and Merlianum Melisavum (2017). The former won the Beyond Words competition by NBDCS in 2015. She is motivated to build cultural and heritage values and has been conducting enrichment lessons for school students for past seven years. She holds Master’s Degree in Engineering and ACTA certification.

K.T.M. IQBAL (1940) has authored seven collections poetry and written over two hundred children’s songs for Radio Singapore’s programmes in the seventies to eighties, “ பாடிப் பழகுவோம் ” [ Let us sing ]. He has contributed poems, essays, and short stories to the region’s leading newspapers and magazines. His poem “ தண்ணீர் ” ( Water) was selected for display in MRT trains  and for exhibition at EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany. His awards include Montblanc-NUS Centre for the Arts Literary Award (1996) , and South East Asia Write Award (2001) .

Dr Lakshmi has authored 24 books and numerous research papers in Tamil Literature with special reference to the Tamil literature of Malaysia and Singapore. Dr Lakshmi is regarded as an authority in the field with the extensive research she has carried out .She is passionate about publishing her research to reach a wider readership in order to stimulate greater interest in Tamil literature. She is the recipient of numerous of awards in Tamil literature. In addition, she has given local flavour to Tamil literature by translating Malay stories into Tamil for the National Library Board‘s Read Singapore Programme.
